Detroit Kickoff Classic Skills Competition
About This Competition
Are you the fastest skater in the State? One hour on the ice to find out. Four measured events: forward sprint, backward sprint, agility and edges with the puck, and hardest shot. Times come off DASHR laser timing and shots off a Pocket Radar. We crown a State Champion in each birth year, boys and girls, for every event plus an overall title. All ages welcome.

Why compete

- Compare your player against every athlete tested in their birth year, in any event.
- Divisions are set by birth year once registration closes. All ages welcome.
Before you go
- Your window
- The competition runs 10:00am–1:00pm. Your athlete is assigned a 1-hour window, sent one week before the event — attendance is only required for that hour.
- Equipment
- All players wear full equipment and bring a hockey stick.
- Spots
- Limited to the first 125 athletes.

Every player competes in these scored events using professional timing and radar equipment. Results and rankings appear in your player dashboard after the competition.
