What’s Next?

So, we’ve just competed in Hockey Fights Cancer and the Showdown Detroit boys and girls hockey tournaments, and spring hockey is starting to wind down. The inevitable question now looms, “What is next?”. For many, they have their eyes on school letting out, fun times in the sun, and maybe a vacation could be on the horizon. All of these things are great to have in your plans. For many, that question may also be sport specific. What is next for your son or daughter’s hockey future.

Summer is a great time for kids to try new things, as many coaches now put a preference on athletes who are well rounded and have competed in multiple sports. This gives those “hockey muscles” a break from a sport that may have dominated their free time for the last 5 months. Their brains also fit into that equation, as mental burn out from year round events do seep in.

The “Off-Season” over the past few years has been dominated by once-a-week pass-time of Pond Hockey. Fast paced, wide open, high scoring, and best of all, minimal time commitment. Elite Amateur Sports has you covered for those who love pond hockey, and may be looking for some new competition, but don’t want to devote a full weekend to the experience. Our 4v4 Showdown and 3v3 Summer Bash are single day hockey tournaments in Michigan that are geared towards the pond hockey fanatic. Check out our website to find out more information on our One Day Hockey Events.
