The Battle of Every Hockey Team
Personal and family health should always take precedent in life. We all get tied up in our own schedules to take time to make sure health is priority. Almost all of us will know someone close to us who will battle a tough illness in their life, and cancer is one of the toughest. Its almost impossible to predict, and sometimes its there without one even knowing or showing symptoms. We here at Elite Amateur Sports aren’t just only concerned with Michigan hockey tournaments and want to be a part of as many teams as possible to help provide care and support to those in need in our community.
This week we will be kicking off our annual Hockey Fights Cancer where we use our proceeds to help out those who may need the help more than ourselves. A saying that dates way back said, “It takes a village to rasie a child”, and we believe in the same premise that it takes a team to defeat cancer. From the team at home, to the medical teams, to former and possibly even current teammates, and the community surrounding them, it takes everyone to defeat these wicked diseases. We would like to do our best to be a part of the team that helps bring health back to someone affected.
We want to thank everyone involved in helping put on this tournament in such crazy times. We promise to take everyone’s health and safety into concern while we put on this great showcase. Youth hockey tournaments are always about the kids, but for those who are of the age to understand, this may be a great way to help teach kids that there will always be things in life bigger than themselves, and it always great to help those who may be in a bit more need than yourselves.
Have a great tournament weekend everyone, we can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces at the rink again!
