Why Bigger is not Always Better

People are always in search of the extremes. Whether it is the biggest house, the fastest car, or the most expensive watch, today’s society is infatuated with standing out. Many companies have taken the same approach as well, boasting they host the “Biggest Hockey Tournament in the World”. Many times, in this situation, details are thrown out the window just to make an extraordinary claim.

Elite Amateur Sports prides themselves on the details. We want to make sure that our competitors have the “Worlds Best Experience”, because that is what really matters to the players. No family wants to spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars over the course of a weekend to travel, stay, and play in a hockey tournament, only to have a poor experience. Our goal is to ensure that every player leaves their final game with us with a smile on their faces.

EAS does its very best to ensure teams in the same division and skill level bracket are as close as possible to ensure great parity, development, and fun over their three days Michigan youth hockey tournament. Too often competition is not equal and two teams leave a game feeling they did not benefit from playing in, and we avoid that at all costs.

Hotels are another detail that may slip away from our competitors when trying to make a statement. We ensure hotels not only can handle the influx of families into their doors, but that there are also an abundance of food and entertainment options available to help teams pass the time not spent at the rink in an environment that promotes fun and comradery. Other times hotels are in nice areas but are just too far away from the rink of play. That will never be an issue with us.
