Dangle, Snipe and Celly Responsibly

Spring hockey has arrived, and with it comes spring weather and spring hockey tournaments. Something that is always a blast during spring hockey is being able to kill time outside before, between, or after games in the now beautiful springtime weather. And while relaxing in the sun and enjoying time with the other families, let’s spend this time together responsibly.

Tensions in the world are running high, but there is no worse tension than a child’s embarrassment with their parent. While everyone is out having a blast, killing some time between games, think about who is watching, the kids. Tournaments are some of the fondest memories these kids will have from growing up. Its when they get to be like the pro’s - they get to travel, sleep somewhere other than their own bed, play their favorite sport with their teammates and many times, best friends. Life couldn’t be better in the eyes of the players. Until they witness or are the receipient of parents who are are enjoying themselves just a bit too much resulting in behavior that affects the kids and their experience. We all know of an reckless situation which results in nothing good.

Elite Amateur Sports condones, actually insists on fun for everyone. But let’s keep it fun, stay in our lanes and remember all the eyes who are watching. Let’s celebrate all the dangles, snipes and celly’s together - and responsibly. The kids deserve it.
