Seasons are a Changing

Winter has come through with a vengeance this year. There have been a few of those sunny “warmer” days, but I think we can all agree that it is time for the weather to turn towards spring. While many people look towards Groundhogs Day for spring forecast, but really it is St. Patrick’s Day that marks the end of winter. St. Patty’s usually falls within a week of the official turn of spring, and some years, we are graced with a warm day or two to celebrate. It is also the time of year where the 2022-2023 Winter teams are coming to a close.

There are many gatherings across the country to celebrate the greatest Irish holiday. Kalamazoo is one of the few who know how to do it right. They host a plethora of events that make the day, and weekend, a fun one. One of those events, is our very own Green Ice Classic.

Many teams like to do a team party, others like to do a Parent’s vs Kid’s game. We believe there’s nothing like one last road trip to beautiful Michigan to send the season off with a bang. It is very rare for a whole team to stay together year over year, and a St. Patrick’s themed youth hockey tournament is a great sendoff to a wonderful season.

We enjoy St. Patrick’s Day just as much as the rest of you, so we would love to host you in Kalamazoo for one last ride with the team. We promise to have incredible competition, staff, and hotel selections to make your last tournament of the year the best. More information is available on the Green Ice Classic, and our portfolio of upcoming hockey events. We want to see your team compete. See you in Kalamazoo.
